The Shaman was a witch that had used a spell that turned Santánico into the monster she is in the present times.
History
c. 900s
Before he turns Santánico into a culebra, he had offered human sacrifices in the temple to her and also to appease the Mesoamerican gods.
He had cast a spell on Santánico and she became a culebra soon afterwards.
Throughout From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series
Season One
In Pilot, he is seen in a flashback when Santánico is running through the jungle and she runs into him. He then casts a spell and all the snakes begin slithering and biting her, until one comes out of a hole and goes into her mouth.
In La Conquista, he is seen briefly in the temple when he kills a boy in front of Santánico, with his blood splattering on her.
Appearance
The Shaman had an athletic build and had a tall frame. He wore a headpiece that priests and shamans wore back in Mesoamerican times. He is wearing a large necklace with bones and teeth and has two earrings. He is seen wearing face paint that hints of a blueish-white hue.
Personality
Not much is shown about his personality, but it seems he seems to show some intimidation, especially towards Santánico.
